Brake fluid Service
What Does Brake Fluid Do?
When you push on your brake pedal, brake fluid is release from the master cylinder, flows through the break lines, and applies pressure to the brake calipers. These calipers squeeze the brake pads against the rotors causing the car to slow down and ultimately stop.
Why Should You Change the Brake Fluid?
Old brake fluid absorbs moisture, reducing your car’s stopping power, and causes corrosion, sluggish brake response, and premature failure. Benefits of having your brake fluid changed include:
- Helps maintain maximum stopping power by removing contaminated fluid
- Cleans the entire brake system
- Replenishes the system with new premium dry formula to protect against moisture
How Often Should You Change Your Brake Fluid?
Many auto manufacturers recommend replacing your brake fluid at regularly scheduled intervals. Check your owner’s manual for details. Or stop in for a consultation.
